I write to share beauty and wisdom, to give my own soul a way to thrive and give back and breathe. I also write for my own sanity. What is true and real and continuous in my life, is that I need to write. I need to put pen to paper, and let my thoughts untangle themselves on the page. Beauty is at the core, and I find myself mystified by it, if I allow myself to get there – through words and phrases, and sharing my heart.
If you read through even a few articles, you will find that our family is steeped in love and creativity. There is enough creativity around here to fuel an actual rocket ship. Art is infused into everything we do. We are a country-living family, with loud boys, big dreams, engines, gears, race cars, cardboard builds and poetry to wrap it all up neatly.
When the boys were younger, we did themed nights for learning. We’ve done specific days of the week for Language & Literature, Math, Art & Music, Science, and History & Geography. As they’ve gotten older, we were more sporadic. And now, I seek beauty in a variety of these same topics as I read in the morning and then come to the page with my found inspiration and moments of joy.
Thank you for being in my world. I appreciate your feedback and your gentle reading of my thoughts.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and following. I’m really enjoying your writing and perspective on life, books, everything! Look forward to reading more!
That picture will stay with me for a long time. Your style of writing is similar to mine. Thanks for the follow.
Thank you. I love how well that photo captures the essence of my boys. Crazy, poetic, thoughtful, and wild.
I thought the very same thing about your writing, the moment I read a poem of yours. Mutual Admiration Society, I believe! Whether we are writing poetry, or simply seeing the world through our poetic lenses…
Win win! 😉
Your photos are fantastic! Like straight out of a magazine:) I admire this site:)!!
Thank you so much! I have gorgeous subject matter.
I just love this! Themed nights for study and discussion — This is something I ought to be doing with my boy. Marvelous!
It has become super fun in our house! My boys look forward to it as much as I do.
