“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful, they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.” ~ Luther Burbank
Oh, Spring is just around the corner – technically next weekend. We are seeing bright green grass in our field and these lovely daffodils are in full bloom over at my mother-in-law’s house. I cannot get enough of the changing of the seasons. Just when we are becoming weary of the current one, there’s a new one to celebrate. And always, and always, the change is just what we needed.
We have rested beside the fireplace during winter. We have gathered our strength for the upcoming year. We have many plans for garden projects, yard projects, new building projects. We have a lot to do in these cool Spring months. I cannot wait to share pictures of plants in full bloom, and projects underway with practically full-grown boys pitching in to help.
Race season is almost upon us, and my husband and youngest son have their cars dialed in and ready to burn rubber and go screaming down the drag strip. They live for the speed and the noise. My heart races to see them. It’s a little terrifying, but so much fun for them.
Next weekend, I have plans to do something completely girlie with my little niece and some neighbor friends – another mom and her daughter. I want to make crowns of flowers! I cannot wait. My boys have always been good sports about doing Seasonal Photo Opportunity Days – like posing with me having tea in front of the pink flowers. This photo is from a few years ago! But I do not think they would do flower crowns.

What says Spring to you? Do you Celebrate in grand or quiet ways?
